To Build a Fire Summary

To Build a Fire is a story of desperate survival under the cold, harsh weather. Even in his closest hours of death he kept moving and thinking each way was to have basic survival. At first this book was a little bit misleading but as you read on it gets interesting. It is about a man and his dog trying to get from point A to point B but not living to tell the tale. I believe this book is trying to tell us or even warn us about ourself in basic survival. He tried to go to extremes to survive even if it took kill another life. This is a sad story but has a lot of meaning, it is a good story overall with amazing detail.
